Henry Smith MP has congratulated Crawley charity campaigner Maria Hains at a ceremony officially granting her British citizenship.

Henry said;

“I know just how much this ceremony means to Maria and I was honoured to be there. 

“After 51 years of living here, raising a family, working at Crawley Hospital and volunteering for our town, I know that many people across the community hold nothing but admiration for Maria and her work. 

“As we all know, Maria is a model citizen, but I am delighted that is it now ‘official’!”
