Henry Smith MP has wished supporters of Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice the best of luck ahead of the charity’s annual Littlehampton 10k run on Sunday 7th September.
Henry said;
“Good luck to the hundreds of runners taking part in the annual Chestnut Tree House 10k Coastal Run on Sunday, in aid of the only children’s hospice in all of Sussex.
“Last year’s event raised almost £50,000 for Chestnut Tree House, enough money to cover the cost of all care services, both in the hospice and out in the community, for over a whole week. It would be fantastic to break that barrier this time around.
“I know that an event such as this requires considerable organising as well; my thanks to all at Chestnut who make such fundraising events possible, and to all those volunteers on the day.”
Registration for the event is still open. Subject to availability, entrants may confirm their attendance on the day.
Henry continued;
“I have seen for myself the wonderful environment that the hospice provides for very sick children and their families at one of the most distressing times anyone could imagine. I am sure that people in Crawley and further afield will continue to show generosity towards such a worthy cause.”
