Henry Smith MP has given his support to CompareTheMarket.com’s Great British Switch campaign, which not only gives people a cost-free opportunity to see if they can make savings by changing their home insurance provider, but also allows people to nominate a charity of their choice to win £50,000.
Henry said,
“I would urge anyone who supports a local charity to get involved with the Great British Switch campaign. It would be fantastic if a local group could win the £50,000 bursary on offer so we could see the benefits right here in Crawley.”
There are two ways to nominate a charity:
- On Twitter – using the #GreatBritishSwitch hashtag, and a brief explanation on why the charity should win.
- Online – via www.metro.co.uk/greatbritishswitch
The first round of nominations opens today (26th August), and close a week later, on Tuesday 2nd September. A judging panel will then consider the nominations, and announce a shortlist of six charities.
There will be a final voting period from 12th to 14th September, on the CompareTheMarket.com website where people can vote for any of the six shortlisted organisations. The charity with the most support will be awarded the donation of £50,000 to put to good use in its local community.
