Crawley MP, Henry Smith, has joined Arthritis Research UK in raising awareness of arthritis and the devastating impact it has on 1 in 6 people in the UK.
Henry showed his support at a parliamentary event hosted by Arthritis Research UK marking National Arthritis Week (7-13 October) and World Arthritis Day (12 October). Arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions are long term conditions that are painful, often debilitating and can impact greatly on people’s quality of life.
Henry said:
“I’m delighted to support Arthritis Research UK’s work in raising awareness of arthritis and other conditions of the muscles, bones and joints. National Arthritis Week reminds us of the impact of osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis on the daily lives of many people in the UK. With that in mind, it’s important that people across our town take the opportunity to learn more about arthritis and get involved in National Arthritis Week.”
