Henry Smith MP has urged anyone looking for an apprenticeship or job opportunity, or knows someone who is doing so, to drop in at the 2017 Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair on Monday, 27th March, at Crawley Civic Hall from 10am until 3pm.
Henry said;
“I’m looking forward to welcoming people from across town to my 2017 Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair.
“We have a range of national and internationally-renowned companies with offices and headquarters right here on our doorstep and I want to see local people making the most of the jobs and opportunities that such great UK firms have to offer.
“I’ve been pleased to host a number of the organisations taking part at this event in previous years, however I’m also delighted to welcome some new companies to the Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair.
“In attendance will be a whole range of organisations including the Army and the RAF, Virgin Atlantic, Central Sussex College and Jamie Oliver Restaurants.
“From 2010 to 2015 the number of active enterprises in Crawley increased, rising by more than 600 to over 3,600. The Crawley economy continues to prosper, but while the number of people locally claiming out of work benefits over the last seven years has fallen by 65 per cent, these figures are of little consolation if you’re looking for work.
“All are welcome at the Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair. The event is free of charge and is a great opportunity to meet and speak with key local employers.”
