There is a dedicated page on the competition website to vote for Tilgate Park. A total of 214 parks and green spaces across the UK have been nominated.
Tilgate Park is one of 23 parks in the south east of England which has been shortlisted. Voting is open until 5pm on 9th November.
Nominations include large nature reserves and small community gardens, sports fields and playgrounds. Nominators include cricketing legend Sir Geoffrey Boycott, triple gold medal winning Olympian Pete Reed and Welsh sporting all-rounder Non Evans, but most of the sites were chosen by the regular park users who love to walk, run, cycle, relax, picnic and play with their children in their local park.
Fields in Trust is a national charity that operates throughout the UK to safeguard recreational spaces and campaign for better statutory protection for all kinds of outdoor sites.
Tilgate Park is one of 214 nominated parks across the UK. The park with the most public votes in each of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be shortlisted and nominators will be invited to attend the prestigious Fields in Trust Annual Awards at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 30th November where the UK's Best Park 2016 will be named.
