Henry Smith MP has attended an event where Virgin Holidays presented a cheque of £20,000 to the Springboard Project, an organisation who provide support for children and young people with learning disabilities in Crawley and Horsham.
The presentation took place on Thursday 25th February, at the head office of Virgin Holidays, in Crawley.
Henry said;
“I was delighted to open the Springboard Project’s base in Crawley in April 2014, and have been following its progress closely.
“I’m grateful to Virgin Holidays for their generosity and for ensuring that young people in Crawley and Horsham will continue to benefit from Springboard’s important work.”
The Springboard Project started as a parent-led organisation 24 years ago in Horsham. It has been delivering activities for children and young people in Crawley for most of the last decade.
The base in Crawley has been open for almost two years, and is used by Springboard’s groups for disabled children, as well as being open for public access for families with non-disabled children to use during the week.
Their ethos is one of positive inclusion, and of enabling disabled children and young people to enjoy the same play and leisure opportunities as their non-disabled peers.
