Henry Smith MP has encouraged anyone looking for training opportunities or seeking work to attend the Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair taking place next week, on Friday, 4th March, at Crawley Civic Hall from 10am until 3pm.
Henry said;
“This week I’ve been putting some final touches to the Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair. There are a wide range of training providers and potential employers in attendance and I would encourage anyone interested in such opportunities to come along.
“While recent figures have shown there have been over 4,000 apprenticeship starts in Crawley since 2010, I know that there’s still more to be done.”
The Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair follows the two previous Jobs Fairs Henry has hosted, in 2013 and 2014.
Henry is calling on Crawley residents to ensure they benefit from the increasing number of quality apprenticeships on offer, as the Government heads towards its target of three million apprenticeship starts by 2020.
Henry continued;
“This is why I have joined a campaign supporting apprenticeships organised by the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Apprenticeships, and is why I’m putting together this year’s Fair, this time next week.
“While there is a focus on apprenticeships at this year’s Fair, there are of course plenty of employment opportunities available as well – all ages are welcome to come along.
“My thanks as well to the event’s sponsors; B&CE The People’s Pension, Virgin Atlantic, L-3 Link Simulation & Training, Westminster Homecare and CGG.”
