Paul Roe, President of the Crawley and Gatwick Chamber of Commerce, has given his personal support to Henry Smith, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Crawley, at the General Election on 7th May.
Paul said;
“Crawley continues to grow as a financial and business centre, and to the benefit of all of us who live and work here, is a leading employment centre in the Gatwick Diamond.
“As the current President of the Crawley and Gatwick Chamber of Commerce, I have seen that during his time as our MP, Henry Smith has always engaged positively with us when asked to do so, he shares the same passion to advance the Crawley case.
“Also, in wider terms, and despite businesses themselves having no direct vote at elections I know that Henry has always taken opportunities to get involved to help or promote local employers in a wider context – he understands that our thriving local economy benefits us all.”
Paul is also a Partner at the Crawley office of Kreston Reeves, and has lived in the local area all his life.
Henry said;
“I am grateful to Paul for his kind words. It is always a pleasure to work with Paul and his colleagues at the Crawley and Gatwick Chamber of Commerce.
“We all want to see our town grow and prosper, and ensure there are the right economic conditions for local and multinational companies to provide employment opportunities for even more local people.”
Paul joins Peter Mansfield-Clark MBE, former Director of Crawley Open House, Mat Cowdrey, Vice Chair of the Crawley Town Supporters Alliance, Graham Cridland, Founder and Chairman of the West Sussex & Surrey Angling Academy, and Dr Brian May, Queen guitarist and animal welfare campaigner, in giving their support to Henry Smith.
Paul Roe was speaking in a personal capacity.
