Henry Smith MP is giving his support to local social welfare project Rhythmix, who have secured a nomination to be named the Best Arts Project in the National Lottery Awards 2016.
Rhythmix was selected from 600 different organisations, and are now up against six other projects to win £3,000, and the chance to appear on the BBC later in the year.
Henry said;
“Rhythmix provides the opportunity for children, young adults and elderly people with dementia to enjoy free music sessions in Crawley and around the south east of England.
“They’re relying on our backing to secure the most votes online in a contest which is open until 20th July.
“Rhythmix provide music-making sessions in Crawley, at Manor Green College and Manor Green Primary School. I’m delighted that the hard work and dedication of the volunteers at Rhythmix is being recognised. Their work has changed lives by using music to raise self-confidence, reduce stress, promote self-expression and allow people to overcome personal challenges.
“I’d like to ask everyone to show their support for the incredible work that Rhythmix are doing by voting online and sharing the link on social media. Please visit: www.bit.do/voterhythmix to help Rhythmix win the National Lottery Award and secure thousands of pounds of funding!”
