Henry Smith MP has nominated The Hillside Inn in Pound Hill as Crawley’s entry in this year’s Parliamentary Pub of the Year competition.
Henry said;
“It’s always a tough choice to pick one of our town’s pubs, but I’m delighted to nominate The Hillside Inn as Parliamentary Pub of the Year.
“The pub sector is so important for communities such as ours and I’m delighted that the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Pubs is ensuring their nationwide recognition.”
The competition will culminate in a national final at the House of Commons, offering all MPs the opportunity to nominate their constituency’s favourite boozer and be recognised as the Parliamentary Pub of the Year.
The main criteria for nomination is a pub that is great at what they do, this can include the range of beer or food provided, the dedication to serving the local community or a specialism in music or sports.
