Henry Smith MP has visited apprentices at electrical training specialists Clarkson Evans working in Forge Wood, the newest neighbourhood in Crawley.
Speaking after the event on Friday, 29th April, Henry said;
“I was very pleased to go to Clarkson Evans today and meet with some of their electrical apprentices.
“It’s always good to see successful companies supporting apprenticeships and I’m delighted that Clarkson Evans, working in Crawley’s newest neighbourhood, Forge Wood, continue to demonstrate their commitment in this regard.
Clarkson Evans recently launched its latest recruitment campaign for apprentices in Crawley. Candidates will need to be at least 18 years old, be able to drive, and preferably have grade C or above in English and Maths at GCSE.
The company is holding an open day at its Crawley branch at the Gatwick International Distribution Centre, off Cobham Way, Crawley, from 3pm to 6pm on Thursday, 16th June. People interested in attending this event should register their interest by emailing: [email protected]
Henry added;
“Clarkson Evans have many apprenticeship spaces available for local young people and I am pleased to support their Crawley recruitment event on 16th June.
“The number of people starting apprenticeships in Crawley has risen to around 4,200 since 2010, and it’s because of employers such as Clarkson Evans who ensure that their apprentices are enabled with the skills required to succeed in their future career.”
