Crawley MP Henry Smith has called on local residents to attend a public meeting with Govia Thameslink Railway representatives, to hold the operator of the Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express lines to account following the poor quality of the service in recent months.
The meeting, which was confirmed last week, will be taking place on Thursday, 25th August 2016, from 7.00pm to 8.30pm in the Sports Hall at St. Wilfrid’s Secondary School, Old Horsham Road, Southgate, Crawley, West Sussex RH11 8PG.
Henry said;
“I’ve arranged this meeting as an opportunity for Crawley residents to hold GTR to account for the unacceptable level of service they continue to provide for passengers.
“As a commuter myself I’m well aware that this situation is untenable – Government Ministers, rail company executives and transport union leaders have been made very much aware of the frustrations of Crawley passengers.
“I’m grateful to all those who have been in touch to let me know they’ll be coming. To allow me to have an idea of numbers, if you would like to attend please do give my office a call on 01293 934554, or email me via: [email protected].
“I’m looking forward to seeing GTR executives answering questions directly from my constituents – please join us on Thursday, 25th August, from 7.00pm in the Sports Hall at St. Wilfrid’s Secondary School in Crawley.”
