Henry Smith MP has pledged his continued support for Mencap as he met with campaigners for the learning disability charity.
Henry said;
“It was a pleasure to invite Mencap up to Parliament, and discuss their work since the launch of the Hear My Voice campaign, which I attended in September.
“I was previously the chair of the West Sussex Learning Disabilities Partnership Board, it is important for MPs to work closely with groups such as Mencap to try to better understand the needs of individuals and their families.
“It is vital that the work we did at West Sussex is continued so the voices of those with learning disabilities are heard, ahead of the general election and beyond.
“As Member of Parliament for Crawley, I aim to be as accessible and accommodating as possible to people throughout our town.
“If I can ever provide assistance to individuals with learning disabilities, or their families, please call my office on 01293 934554, email me directly via [email protected], or write to me at Henry Smith MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA, or stop me when I'm out and about around Crawley.”
