Henry Smith MP has given his backing to proposals from West Sussex County Council to expand Northgate Primary School as part of plans which are being put forward for consultation.
The proposals would see the school permanently increase from two form entry (60 places) to three form entry (90 places) per year group.
Henry said;
“I’m pleased that West Sussex County Council are looking to meet the challenges faced by the need for more school places and I support Northgate Primary’s proposed expansion.
“The County Council have advised that Department for Education projections show that by 2023, the number of primary-aged pupils will be nine per cent higher than it was last year.
“I’d urge parents in Crawley to attend the drop-in session taking place later this week at the school.”
The school will be holding an open drop-in session where people can discuss the proposals. This will be taking place at Northgate Primary School (Green Lane, Crawley, RH10 8DX) on 12th November 2015, from 3.30pm to 6pm.
