Henry Smith MP is encouraging Crawley residents aged between 14 and 24 to enter the “Inspired Impressions” art competition where the winning pieces will go on display in Parliament.
You can enter any 2D canvas piece on the theme “Britain in 2012”. These can be pictures, paintings, pastels, photographs or collages. Once you have created your artwork, all you need to do is photograph it and upload it to any Inspired Impressions portal or via the Bite the Ballot website. The original pictures must be between A1 and A4 in size with the winning photographs being enlarged for the exhibition. All entries are voted for by the public.

“This is an excellent opportunity for any young aspiring artists in Crawley to have their work displayed in Parliament. Bite the Ballot, who are running this competition are looking for pieces that show what inspires young people, what great things are going on in Great Britain and how would you display this to others.
“The best 42 pieces from around the country will go on display and a panel of guest judges will then choose their favourites with further prizes on offer.
“This could be a first for Parliament to open its doors to display your artwork and I hope it is an opportunity that young artists in Crawley take advantage of.”
