Henry Smith MP has spoken at the official opening of the Information Technology Academy at Central Sussex College in Crawley.
Henry said;
“I was delighted to speak at the opening of the Central Sussex College IT Academy.
“The new centre provides state of the art facilities for Crawley students and will better enable local young people to access the high-tech opportunities that our locally-based world class employers provide.
“Especially I would encourage Crawley pupils to consider STEM subjects for their future and that of the economy.”
Henry and other guests used some of the technology available in the IT academy including virtual reality headsets, and a specialist gaming suite which includes high-specification PCs and software for programming and design.
The bespoke IT Academy will provide support to enhance the digital and computing skills of young people and those already working in the IT industry, as well as offering an array of specialist computer software and hardware courses.
